Academic Sharing Program

Description

Purpose: The Center for Southeast Asian Studies has a limited number of small grants available for curriculum development related to Southeast Asia to support a three- to five-day visit to the University of Michigan. Scholars have the opportunity to use one of the many Southeast Asia Collections available at the University of Michigan and to consult with faculty during their visit. K-12 teachers and faculty from two- and four-year colleges and universities lacking significant Southeast Asian resources within their home institutions are encouraged to apply.

Application: Applicants should send a curriculum vitae and a 2-page research proposal which includes: a description of the teaching materials to be developed, including expected content, goals, and objectives; a description of the form of the final report (e.g., course syllabus, annotated bibliography, etc); and the estimated number of student(s) to be impacted by the new teaching materials.

Deadline: Applications may be submitted anytime during the year.
