ArcStart

Description

ArcStart is a three-week residential program that offers high school students the opportunity to explore the world around them by providing an introduction to designing space and buildings within it. Participants will not only experience the rewarding intensity of an interactive college architecture studio, but will also partake in skill-building workshops that reinforce analytical and conceptual problem solving skills.

Participants witness how a design education prepares students to engage the world around them within the context of a world renowned, cutting edge design institution. Students engage in thought provoking discussions that push the boundaries of their definition of architectural design. The curriculum, which provides courses in drawing, model making, and three-dimensional technologies, shows that common problems can be solved with design solutions.
