Center for Education of Women (CEW)

Description

The Center for the Education of Women is a unit of the University of Michigan devoted to service, research, and advocacy. Established in 1964, CEW has a long history as a model of the comprehensive, university-based women’s center. CEW sponsors a year-round calendar of programs and events, and a full range of services, including counseling, scholarships for women attending UM, and library services. The Center also sponsors research focusing primarily on the roles of education and work in the lives of women and on women’s leadership, and has a number of publications available. The Center also advocates on campus and elsewhere regarding issues of concern to women. We have an open-door policy; our services are free to community members as well as U-M staff, faculty, and students.
