Center for Russian, East European, and Eurasian Studies (CREES)


The Center for Russian, East European, and Eurasian Studies (CREES), an affiliate of the Weiser Center for Europe and Eurasia, is a U.S. Department of Education-supported National Resource Center for Eastern Europe, Russia, and Central Asia. Each year the Center’s faculty offer over 150 courses on the economics, cultures, history, languages, literatures, politics, law, business, public policy, and social organization of the region.

CREES organizes public lectures, conferences, films, mini-courses, and symposia. It provides instructional and informational services to schools and colleges, media, and businesses in Michigan and the Midwest.
