Horn Institute

MPulse is a summer performing arts institute at the University of Michigan on the Ann Arbor campus carrying high school students to exciting new levels of excellence in music performance, music technology, musical theatre, theatre, and dance. Approximately 200 MPulse participants study with distinguished UM School of Music, Theatre & Dance faculty for two or three weeks each summer while experiencing campus life in Ann Arbor.

The Horn Institute is an intensive session designed for the serious high school horn student. Daily instruction includes lessons on solo repertoire and chamber music collaborations with other MPulse sessions, as well as musicianship classes, master classes, and student recitals.
