Kelsey Museum of Archaeology Special Events

The Kelsey Museum of Archaeology is an internationally recognized center for the study of the ancient Mediterranean world. Its collections, library and archival holdings are an important and exciting educational resource for residents of Michigan and beyond.

The Kelsey sponsors numerous special events which range from lectures and Family Days at the museum with different educational themes to participation in educational activities with Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts, and special interests groups.

Family days provide 50 pre-registered children and their parents two hours of hands-on activities related to ancient Egypt and Mediterranean archaeology. (You can even mummify your own Barbie doll!)
