MiBytes – Tinkering with Mobile Apps

Tinkering with Mobile Apps:

This 5 day commuter program is ideal for students who are curious about exploring the basics of computer science. Through engaging lectures and hands-on activities, students will be introduced to fundamental principles of computer science. They will be able to build their own working mobile app with MIT App Inventor. Students learn how to design user interfaces, work with graphics and sound, use sensors and databases to create a functional and interesting app. The final day of the program will feature a Design Expo where students get to show off all the cool apps they made! A field trip and daily recreational activities are planned including campus tours and socials to give campers a taste of college.
