Musical Theatre Workshop


MPulse is a summer performing arts institute at the University of Michigan on the Ann Arbor campus carrying high school students to exciting new levels of excellence in music performance, music technology, musical theatre, theatre, and dance. Approximately 200 MPulse participants study with distinguished UM School of Music, Theatre & Dance faculty for two or three weeks each summer while experiencing campus life in Ann Arbor.

Musical Theatre Workshop topics include an analysis of song lyrics, acting techniques for song interpretation, dance styles of major choreographers, voice study, monologue exploration, audition techniques, and creating character and situation.
