Performing Arts Technology Institute

MPulse is a summer performing arts institute at the University of Michigan on the Ann Arbor campus carrying high school students to exciting new levels of excellence in music performance, music technology, musical theatre, theatre, and dance. Approximately 200 MPulse participants work with distinguished UM School of Music, Theatre & Dance faculty for two or three weeks each summer while experiencing campus life in Ann Arbor.

PAT Institute students work in UM’s state-of-the-art music technology and audio recording studios to create original compositions that use MIDI and digital audio. Instruction also focuses on sound design, film scoring, and multi-track recording and production.
