Teaching Kids Healthy Smiles


Project:Teaching Kids Healthy Smiles is a web site for Kindergarten and Elementary School Teachers aimed at supporting their efforts to integrate information about preventing dental disease and improving oral health into their daily teaching. The website offers teachers links to

- lesson plans grouped into three sections: (a) All about teeth and smiling; (b) Taking care of your teeth; and (c) Going to the dentist.

- activities such as in-class demonstrations, work sheets, coloring pages, word searches and other puzzles, animations and games, quizzes and songs.

- additional information such as background information about teeth, information about nutrition and health, websites that students can use on their own, and information for parents.
