U-M Matthaei Botanical Gardens and Nichols Arboretum (MBGNA)

Description

University of Michigan Matthaei Botanical Gardens and Nichols Arboretum is about connecting people with nature, sustaining the earth, caring for our natural heritage, sharing knowledge, and promoting learning.

The Gardens are located on 350 acres and feature a wide variety of habitats, trails, formal gardens, and a three-climate conservatory. The Arb is located on 123 acres near U-M central campus and U-M Hospitals and features frontage on the Huron River, the largest collection of heirloom peonies in North America, and displays of trees and shrubs.

Together we offer a variety of classes, programs, events and opportunities for people to connect with the natural world.
