University of Michigan Family Assessment Clinic

Description

The University of Michigan Family Assessment Clinic provides assessment, treatment, and case record review services on cases involving possible or actual child maltreatment. The Clinic involves twenty University of Michigan faculty, doctoral and masters level graduate students, and staff from the Schools of Social Work, Law, Education and Medicine (Pediatrics and Psychiatry), and the Department of Psychology,and professionals from the community.

In addition to providing services to the community, the Clinic serves as a context for clinical training, development of educational materials, and research related to child maltreatment. The Family Assessment Clinic impacts cities throughout the entire state of Michigan.
